Imikan Technologies ("we," "us," "our") builds Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems and AI chatbot solutions for businesses in Nigeria, Africa, and worldwide. 2. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

Information you provide directly — name, email, phone number, and company details submitted through our contact or demo request forms.
Client data processed through our services — documents, records, and queries you submit to a RAG or chatbot system we build or host for you. We process this data solely to deliver the contracted service.
Automatically collected data — IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, collected via Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (see Section 6, Cookies & Analytics).

We do not sell your personal information or your clients' data to third parties.

4. Data Storage & Security

Where a client's RAG deployment is self-hosted, documents and vector embeddings are stored on infrastructure the client controls, in line with the data residency requirements common to regulated industries. Where we host infrastructure on a client's behalf, we apply role-based access control (RBAC), encryption in transit, and audit logging. No system is guaranteed 100% secure, and we encourage clients to review their own internal data handling policies alongside ours.

5. Data Sharing & Third-Party Processors

Depending on the system architecture agreed with a client, data may be processed by the following third parties as part of delivering the service:

OpenAI — for embedding generation and language model inference, where a client's architecture uses OpenAI's API rather than a fully self-hosted model.
Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager — for website usage analytics.
Cloudflare — for website security, performance, and bot mitigation.
Hosting providers (e.g. GitHub Pages, or a client-designated provider) — for serving our website and, where applicable, client infrastructure.

We do not share client-submitted documents or query data with any party outside of what's required to operate the contracted system.

6. Cookies & Analytics

Our website uses cookies via Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors use the site. You can disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so may limit some website functionality but will not affect your ability to contact us or use our core services.

7. Your Rights (NDPR)

Under Nigeria's Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and comparable data protection laws in other jurisdictions we serve, you have the right to:

Our services are intended for businesses and are not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. International Data Transfers

Where a client's architecture uses a third-party API provider such as OpenAI, data may be processed outside Nigeria. Clients with strict data residency requirements should discuss a fully self-hosted architecture with us, which keeps data on infrastructure they control.
